Meet our registered Manager at Skillington
I joined Anchor Care and Education in February 2025 as Home Manager of Skillington, becoming Registered Manager in November 2025. Before Anchor, I built a career in family law before moving into the voluntary sector managing domestic abuse services, both of which gave me a strong understanding of trauma, safeguarding and supporting vulnerable people. I've always been drawn to roles where I can advocate for those who need support, and I've come to appreciate just how important safe, consistent adults are for young people who have experienced trauma or instability. The most rewarding part of my role is seeing young people progress, and I value the genuine sense of teamwork across Anchor.
Skillington itself is a special place, set within beautiful countryside, offering space, stability and a calm, homely atmosphere where young people can feel safe and be themselves. I'm proud of our team and their commitment to going above and beyond for the young people in our care. My approach is centred on consistency and positive role modelling, showing young people that adults can be calm, reliable and trustworthy. Outside work, I enjoy walking my dog, Robert, and cooking for family and friends — my personal philosophy is simple: lead by example.
