Meet our registered Manager at Old Ivy House

Admin

I am the Registered Manager of Old Ivy House and have been with Anchor Care and Education since February 2024, bringing over 18 years of experience across adult and children's services. My career began in adult residential care before moving into children's services, including almost eight years at The Shires supporting young people with learning disabilities, followed by management roles at Mencap and a smaller organisation supporting both adults and children with complex needs. What has always inspired me is seeing the difference positive support can make, and helping young people achieve things they once thought impossible remains the most fulfilling part of my role.

What I value most about Anchor is the genuine sense of family across the organisation, and at Old Ivy House we have a dedicated team who build trusting relationships that help young people feel safe and understood. I'd describe our home as caring, fun and nurturing, with clear boundaries that help young people feel secure. Kindness and compassion sit at the heart of everything we do, and I want every young person to know we're here to support and encourage them. My guiding principle is simple: always stay positive and focus on finding solutions.
